Autumn is undoubtedly my favourite time of the year as you can start wearing cozy sweaters and enjoy the advantages of layering again. Moreover, I have always had a slight obsession for the atmosphere that is created by the leaves changing colours and turning world’s forests into a picturesque image of nature set on fire. Autumn is a season full of change and preparation for the time of nature’s hibernation and I have found myself opting for outfits in autumn colours a majority of the time during this particular season. Earth tones radiate a high amount of peacefulness and make me personally feel more grounded and settled, which results in me feeling more confident with myself. Those colours are easy to combine as there are loads of shades that not only nature but also fashion provides so it’s basically suitable for every kind of skin tone and hair colour. Especially sweaters in natural colours made of a soft, comfortable fabric like gentle wool or silk, the choice depends on temperature and preference only, are perfect to be combined with more extraordinary patterns to create an individual outfit that makes you stand out.

Portobello and Nottingham are a thriving, beautifully lively part of London I always love to visit whenever I get to spend some time in my favourite city in the entire world. The fluent transition from clean, white terraces to the uniquely painted, bright and colourful houses of Portobello Road and its market never ceases to amaze me and blows my mind again and again.

Strolling through Portobello Road, passing market stalls and watching busy marketeers trying to sell their goods is equally inspiring and fascinating and not only once did I find myself stopping at a stall selling items like vintage cameras or old, worn down poetry books and iconic vinyls, which all have their own history to tell. I have always had a soft spot for things like this as it gives me the feeling of wanting to continue their story, spun further through generations, handed on from one owner to the other.

The street encloses the soul and the heart of the city, unique and extraordinary, unusual and uncommon but still so perfectly involved into the cityscape that you don’t even recognise when you’re leaving the ordinary world for some time to travel through a sphere that defines life differently.

Two weeks ago I went on a weekend trip to Vienna to stock up my autumn wardrobe as it is almost time to get out the cozy sweaters and comfortable boots again to welcome my personal favourite time of the year. Autumn never ceases to amaze me with its bright, shining, reddish colours and also fashion wise the season offers you so much more opportunities concerning layering and mixing textures and patterns than summer. Autumn is the time you still don’t need to get too wrapped up in warming clothes as the sun still gives enough warmth for us to be able to enjoy the time outside in casual, sheerly layered pieces.

As I have always had a slight obsession for unique patterns and exceptional designs I immediately fell in love with Zara’s new, black, glittery Chelsea boots which add a bit of glamour to every grey-blackish autumn outfit and are best to wear with restrained pieces as they are definitely meant to be an outfit’s highlight. I combined them with a cape-shaped, dark grey coat that is perfect for chilly autumn days and comes with detachable, black faux fur details at the collar.

Especially now, during Fashion Week season, it’s important to embrace the latest trends and pick out what suits your personality to make the best impression not only on fashion events but also in daily life. This year’s autumn collection of Zara represents a perfect symbiosis between fresh casualness and mature elegance and offers a wide range of different styles and I can’t wait to further explore their collection.

A big thank you to Zara for providing me this incredible outfit I absolutely adore. It will be a pleasure to wear during London Fashion Week this year as I'll be going to London in less than two weeks.

Lately I have been slightly obsessed with natural leather as a material to casually wear on a day out in the city. Leather is so easy to maintain and doesn’t need a lot of chemical products to be kept fine. As I have always loved earth tones in terms of clothing, the colour of natural leather appealed to me as well. The material is super comfortable to wear and incredibly soft, which causes a fairly lovely wearing comfort on hot days as well. Due to me being an animal friend and not wanting to support the unnecessary killing of animals for fashion reasons I rather opt for faux natural leather as it’s a lot more affordable as well. The only downside of leather is the fact that it should better not be put into the washing machine.

This time I combined a leather skirt with a beautiful button row, consisting of gold, shining buttons, embellishing the front view of the skirt with a floaty, slightly over sized white blouse and a burgundy hat, one of my latest favorites.

Especially in summer flower prints are a must have that needs to be present in every girl’s wardrobe as it basically represents the colourful season and just adds a carefree, joyful attitude to every basic outfit. Flower prints appear in every conceivable form, pattern and colour and in combination with floaty or silky fabrics like the blazer I’m wearing it is perfect for mild summer evenings and completes the black and white pattern of jeans and shirt by adding a bit of lively colours to the outfit.

Yesterday I went a bit mad in American Apparel basically wanting to buy up the whole shop, which my bank account wasn’t delighted of and immediately prohibited to save me from further damage regarding my financial well-being because of the generally cash-strapped student I am.

I still didn’t want to leave without picking some items up and so I ended up having a floaty, white crop top with black pinstripes as well as a high waist jeans short in used look in my shopping basket.

Berlin’s been incredibly welcoming and hot the last couple days, which made this outfit a perfect choice for a touristy day in Germany’s capital. I especially love the way the crop top is open on the back because it adds not only casual chic to the outfit but is also very useful in terms of high temperature survival strategies.
